JOB SUMMARY
The Production Director is a key leadership role responsible for building, overseeing, and leading all technical aspects and execution of service programming. This includes the management of AVL teams, programming assets and timelines, and the stewardship of production equipment. This role ensures each area is fully staffed, operating with excellence, aligned with culture, and that its members are cared for practically and spiritually. As Production Director, this person will oversee Production staff, Build Team, and contractors, ensuring the growth, development, and standards of Revive Production.

TEAM OVERSIGHT AND SCHEDULING

• Provide pastoral care for the Production team members

• Lead regular team meetings to provide vision, clarity, and encouragement

• Create a culture of standardization and excellence within Production through development and accountability of direct reports

• Ensure all weekend services and events are properly staffed

• Actively recruit, onboard, train, and empower AVL team members

• Actively recruit, schedule, and arrange payments with contractors as needed

• Directly manage the scheduling of Production teams in Planning Center

• Oversee the development and implementation of annual goals for Production’s growth and improvement

• Continually seek to enhance in-room and online streaming quality and production

• Develop and implement Revive Production Team SOPs, orientation, and training processes

SERVICE EXECUTION

• Oversee Sunday morning production from arrival to teardown:

• Lead setup and ensure all departments are prepared and operational

• Coordinate run-throughs and pre-service checks:

• Provide live leadership during service to troubleshoot and ensure smooth execution

• Lead post-service teardown and reset process

EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY STEWARDSHIP

• Oversee setup, proper storage, transportation, and organization of all production equipment

• Maintain a proactive equipment care and maintenance plan

• Coordinate and track all repairs and replacements as needed

​

LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION

• Attend weekly leadership meetings to report on:

• Build Team development and discipleship

• Team needs, wins, and challenges

• Any production-related issues or opportunities

• Function as a department head with ownership of quarterly rocks (a strategic initiative that supports the overall church-wide goal)

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Worship, Kids, Youth, and Communication teams to ensure production needs are met

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in live production, AVL tech, or church production settings

• Proven leadership ability in managing teams and volunteer culture is a plus

• High attention to detail and organizational excellence

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and troubleshoot live production issues

• Familiarity with Planning Center, ProPresenter, digital audio consoles, lighting systems, and live streaming equipment is a plus

TIME COMMITMENT

• Estimated Hours: 15–20 hours/week

• Sundays: 6–8 hours

• Weekly Leadership Meeting: 1–2 hours

• Midweek Prep and Communication: 6–10 hours (flexible)
